Why does my HDPVR skips frames?
It may happen that the HD PVR looses the stream and stops sending packets, from a short time (few milliseconds up to about two seconds). This is accompanied by the HD PVR top blue lights and front red light going off for a short time, then on again.
When this is happening, the end-user is then experiencing a short pause/stutter for the duration of that drop in the streaming.
This seems to occur randomly, sometime in bursts (2 or 3 pauses in a 10 minutes interval), sometime once a day or less.
We are working with Hauppauge staff to investigate these known issues and fix them. We will let you know of what comes out of it. In the meantime, if you have more pertinent information about those random events, please feel free to tell us about it.
Update:
- We have had reports of DRC Interrupt Latency issues.
- We have had reports of Hard Disk issues (maybe driver or chipset related or something, more than HD themselves)
