If you are upgrading from a previous version, simply run the installer and upgrade your DVBLink Service software if recommended by the installer. You’re now done with this guide. Otherwise, read on add follow the instructions closely.

Prepare your ATSC/QAM tuner

  1. Install the latest drivers for your tuner
  2. Reboot if required.

Install DVBLink for ATSC&QAM

  1. Launch ATSCQAMBridgeSetup.exe and follow instructions.

Note: Because ATSCQAMBridgeSetup.exe includes another installer (DVBLink itself) that requires reboot, its possible that you are required to launch ATSCQAMBridgeSetup.exe multiple times to complete installation. In such case, a message box will popup informing you that it is required to re-launch ATSCQAM BridgeSetup.exe.

Detect DVBLink virtual tuners (Setup TV Signal)

  1. Open Media Center
  2. Go to settings and begin the Setup Tv Signal process
  3. Deep into the setup, it begins Examining TV Signals, which is a very long operation, just cancel the scanning
  4. Choose Let me configure my Digital Satellite (DVB-S) without signal detection
  5. If you have other tuners, select Add Satellite tuners and select no if it asks you if you’re using a Set-top box
  6. Select only DVBLink Tuner #1 (*** that’s right, only ONE tuner should be checked ***)
  7. Pick any satellite from the next list (your choice does not matter) and choose the Universal LNB option
  8. Repeat operation no 6 & 7 for each other DVBLink tuner (#2, #3, #4)
  9. Complete the TV Signals setup

Important: At the end of TV Setup, the ATSC/QAM tuner(s) that you want to share must not appear in the TV Setup tuner list. Only one application can connect to a tuner. In this case, it will be DVBLink, not Media Center. Media Center will connect to your tuner transparently through DVBLink.

ConfigureĀ DVBLink for ATSC&QAM

  1. Start the DVBLink Server Configuration tool (Start Menu/All Programs/DVBLink/DVBLink Server Configuration)
  2. Create a source by selecting ATSC&QAM, on the left under the source templates list, and using the right pointing green arrow (you can pick any name for your source)
  3. Open the DVBLink for ATSC&QAM Configuration window by clinking on the “…” button located at the end of your source definition line (in the “Sources” pane)
  4. From the Tuner Setup tab, select the tuner your want to share and click the Apply Changes button.
  5. From the Channel tab, click on the Scan tuner button, then click on the Check All button and then on Ok. The Scan operation should begin using your ATSC/QAM card.
  6. Close DVBLink for ATSC&QAM Configuration window.
  7. Add your channels to the Windows Media Center Guide.
