- If you have other tuners, select Add DVB-S tuners and select no if it asks you if you’re using a Set-top box
- Select only DVBLink Tuner #1
- Pick any satellite from the next list (your choice does not matter) and choose the Universal LNB option
- Repeat operation 7 for each DVBLink tuner
- Complete the TV Signals setup
Usage
DVB Dream must always be started manually. It’s recommended to add a shortcut in the Windows’ start menu to ensure that the application is always running when Media Center needs it.
EPG from XMLTV (optional)
- Download an XMLTV file from an external source (using a tool like MC2XML) and place the XMLTV file in %ProgramFiles\DVBLogic\DVBLink\Sources\<Your source name>\EPG\Input.
Note: The XMLTV file must be called xmltv.xml - There are no particular options in Media Center needed to enable support for EPG from EIT packets. You don’t even need to have a guide configured for download.
- To enable EPG for a channel, you have to tune that channel in Media Center. Please allow between 5 to 20 seconds after tuning a channel before initial EPG data starts appearing in Media Center.
- If using MC2XML, it is highly recommended to “filter” down the XMLTV file (MC2XML.CHL) to the list of channels that you will map. For example, the full XMLTV from Zap2It TV is about 70MBytes, while your own subscription might be only a few channels for about 1/10th of this size.
- If using MC2XML, we recommend the use of MC2XML.REN to rename the channels for meaningfull names.
Remember that the name inside the XMLTV file MUST MATCH the names in DVB Dream.
Notes
After a satellite scan, DVB Dream must be restarted to allow DVBDreamBridge to detect new channels.
